I've lived in Chicago since 1993 when I fled the Cornell PhD program. My lifelong need for writing started with a spiral-bound notebook when I was a child. I needed a place to put all the words my mother didn't think I should say out loud. She would scold me: "You always say everything!" These days my outlets are my blog and my Medium page where I say everything.
Besides writing, I fill my life with my friends: I host potlucks, game nights, movie nights and other parties. I also enjoy exploring the great indoors, reading books, and climbing the 46 stairs it takes to reach my apartment. I organize a Stephen King Book Club. I don't own a car, so I get plenty of exercise just buying groceries.
